!st snow of the year

It was about 1/8 of an inch of snow, and that is being generous with the amount and Isaac could not wait to get out in it.  I know for sure he got out his sled and went down the neighbors hill and he cleaned off all the cars.  He is a great helper.  Can't wait to see how excited he gets when there is a whole inch of snow!!
All dressed and ready to go outside

after playing outside...look at those rosie cheeks

Deck the halls

Deck the halls...and in this case deck 1793 Onacrest Curve!!!  Isaac is beyond excited to decorate our house for Christmas...we finish one thing and he says,"what's next?"  I LOVE that he is so excited and he doesn't get bored with what we have done.  He often just sits and looks at the Christmas Trees and asks which ornament is my favorite.  He then proceeds to tell me which one is his favorite and of course which one is baby's favorite.  So glad he can read Addy's mind.
I will let the pictures speak for ONLY SOME of what we have done so far.  Isaac I think is most excited about the lights he got in his bedroom and outside and I don't have pics of those.  I say so far...because Isaac continues to remind me that we are not done...
decorating the little tree downstairs.

Addy the pro...she doesn't even need to stand up

Putting the window clings "stickers" up

Making sure it is perfect

Now onto setting up their toy manager scene

Making a christmas chain...Addy trying to cut paper to help

Now...the big Christmas tree upstairs

painting homemade ornaments

These turned out so GREAT!!!  who knew flour, salt and water  would make such nice ornaments!

I realized Addy did not have a stocking.  It was time to fix that.

The chain and stockings
Stayed tuned because Isaac continues to ask,"what next?" on a daily basis.  Oh and I should add if you have any decorating ideas to do with toddlers you can pass them my way.  My list is dwindling!

Thanksgiving day

We had a great thanksgiving and I hope you all had the same.  Here are a few pics of the kids...They were so excited and so cute I had to share.  Pretty sure Isaac is already counting the days until the next Thanksgiving.
So excited to go to Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's

She shares in the excitment

Playing on Grandpa's scooter

eating at the table like a big girl

Grandma Mimi even gave the kids little wine glasses....still amazed nothing broke!

she was pretty excited about her special juice

I think I will just hide/eat these onions.

Auntie Lou letting addy look at the baby
We did go to Nana and Papa's too for dessert but by that time I must have been pictured out :(

Gingerbread house

For weeks Isaac has been asking me every time we enter a store for a ginger bread house.  I happened to mention this as the planning for black friday shopping was in a frenzy at mom and dad's and of course the next day Isaac has a ginger bread house.  Great!!! idea, Nana and Em.  It actually turned out to be quite fun to see how excited Isaac was over the building, and decorating of the house.  It was toooo delicate for a four year old to assemble (let's be honest it was too delicate for any of us to assemble correctly) so he was a little bummed about that, and then it had to dry and he was a little bummed about that.  But then came the decorating and he LOVED that.  It now sits safe and sound on the highest shelf we have, and he checks on it often.  Today he asked me,"can I watch the ginger bread house."  So cute, Thank you Nana and Em for quite the experience and making Isaac's day!!

The beginning...Isaac holding the roof as a wall and Nana reading the directions.

Me pointing out that what we thought were walls...were actually the roof.  start over!

This is where it was starting to get comical.

There it is...I still can't believe we got it to stand up.

Sure...Seth helps with the easy part!!

Addy's big day!

Addy is now old enough and weighs enough to have her car seat turned around like a big girl. She LOVES it!
Look at how much room my legs have, I can stretch now!!!

so happy!

Stretching out her legs and enjoying all the extra room and the view!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!

Isaac is so excited to celebrate the holiday, which is normal at this age with Isaac.  Any special event and more importantly Holidays in Isaac's book need to be celebrated with cookies, cake, etc.  Yep, That's my boy!  So here we go again...This time it was turkey cookies and finger painted turkey craft.  Only one dessert this time :(

The finger painting was pretty fun too.  Addy was not too sure about getting her hands dirty at first but joined in the fun after big brother paved the way.  Big milestone for Isaac during this craft he cut out his own turkey's head in a circle.  So far Isaac has only ever just cut lines.  Very proud of my cookie making and finger painting kiddos.

Enjoy the pics and your more importantly your turkey and fixings today!!  Gobble Gobble
Let the finger painting begin.  You will notice all I have is a before shot and after.  Too messy to be taking pics during.

The feathers on the turkey's are done.

This is Isaac's first attempt and success at a circle.  He cut the white one.

Isaac's turkey is on the left and Addy's on the right.

Let the cookie making begin...Look at all that flour!

Addy wanted to make more than just circles.  I think that is a cow.

excited as usual for the baking project
