Santa Claus X's 2

We had a very busy weekend packed with tons of Holiday fun!!  We took Isaac on his first sleigh ride through downtown white bear lake and afterwards there was a visit with Santa Claus.  He did so good, Once again he shocks me.  At this visit we learn what he wants for Christmas....or do we??  He tells Santa he wants a green one.  Santa replies, a green what?  A green present Isaac says.  Santa proceeds to use his knowledge of green toys and says a green tractor?  Isaac, being Isaac agrees with everything and says YES!!!  So right away I start to panic thinking great, now I need to find a green tractor so his first santa experience can come true!!

Well....Let's skip ahead to a few hours later he tells me that santa said he was going to bring him a green train!

What?!  Now I am super confused and all I can think about is santa not disappointing him on Christmas morning.

Well...Let's skip ahead a whole day now.  At Isaac's second Santa encounter of the weekend, this time at the train museum he tells Santa that he wants a green train.  Of course being at the train museum Santa thinks this is a great idea and all went well.

After I had some elves of mine doing some shopping for me today and looking all over for a tractor and train because I didn't know which one he wanted....I find out that there is a tractor/train in the Thomas collection.  It is  our best guess that Isaac is referring to the Green George who indeed is a tractor.  WOW!!!  I think I liked being santa better when the kids couldn't articulate what they wanted.  And just for fun I decided to ask Isaac what Santa was going to bring Addy....His exact words," Let's see...(stops to think) I know ( with his little index finger in the air) a purple car!!!   What?!  I very quickly said, girls don't like cars you are silly.  There is no way I am starting this again.

Enjoy the santa pics, Addy did pretty good for her first time I thought.  She got scared when she realized I wasn't holding her anymore and so Mrs. Claus Gave her a candy candy as Isaac calls them to hold.

More like a wagon but all the kids were calling it a sleigh

In depth conversation with santa about this mystery green present

Lake Phalen light display

Last weekend when the kids were still too sick to do anything or be around anyone we decided we could at least sit in our car and see Christmas lights.  We were not sure how much Isaac would enjoy this, but as it turned out he LOVED it, wanted to see more and was so excited about every display.  Addy of course took a nap which was great too so we could enjoy Isaac's excitement and HUGE smiles.  We will have to make sure we build this into our Holiday season every year.

we let him sit on my lap while we drove through the park to see better.  He was thrilled!

ummmm let's see....that's what he kept saying before we got to every new display.

Nana's tree and cookie making

Growing up I have fond memories of cookie making with my Grandma Max and setting up her tree that she was always reluctant to do but did for the grandkids.  I am so glad that my kids now get to do the same thing with their Nana!!  Isaac helped a little with the decorating of the tree but he was far more interested in getting to the cookie making.  He is a pro now after our pumpkin making experience.  He did great once again, these cookies of course turned out better than the pumpkins because Nana was involved and Isaac's favorite is the Christmas Trees.  Addy even got in on a little of the cookie making. It was a great day full of great memories!!
Too little to help decorate.  Just watching as Isaac would say.

I think he was singing a little tune here while rolling out the dough

pretty sure Emily and I were never given a bag of flour to play with

Then she was given a bowl with flour in it....that lasted a second and she is now wearing the flour

she thought those boards should be seperated

Look at that smirk!

Last swim lesson until spring

Isaac started preschool level one swim this fall and it just ended today.  He did great, even with having a new teacher.  The teacher said that although he will do everything, he is not comfortable doing everything so we should consider him taking this level one more time.  So in the spring he will take preschool level one again, but we don't care and either does he.  He loves to go swimming and we want that to continue.  Hopefully, he won't forget what he learned over the LONG winter!!

back float is not his favorite

Loves using this bar

New carseat

Addy has outgrown her infant seat, (her little chubby legs hang way over the end).  Time for a new seat!  My first thought was that Isaac would give his seat to Addy and he would get a booster.  But his car seat is the one thing he has not outgrown yet and I rather have him buckled in a car seat rather than a booster.  so shoot!  Off to spend another $100 on a new car seat.  However, I ordered it on cyber Monday and got Free shipping and had it delivered right to my door.  Nice!!  Addy seems to like it too, now we will see how she does with it in the car?!

Dentist for the 1st Time

Isaac blew me away at his first trip the the dentist.  You could tell he was a little nervous but he didn't let that show to the nurses and dentist.  He acted like such a good boy, and did everything they asked him to do.  He thought everything was pretty cool except the "painting" of his teeth at the end.  He said it tasted icky, must be why they do it at the end.  I was impressed and so were the nurses for his first trip.  One proud Mom!!!
He brought a book with him and he had to show it to the lady
