Hi...what you doing?

Isaac has far surpassed my expectations of being a good Big Brother.  If you recall in my last post before entering the hospital I was worried about how Isaac would react to the baby.  He LOVES her and PROTECTS her already.  He wants to include her in everything he does and talks to her often throughout the day.  It is so sweet.  Here are a few examples.
1. While Isaac is watching t.v. he will tell Addy what is going on and ask her to watch with him. "watch baby, watch."
2. If Isaac is dancing to music he will ask baby to dance too.  I often have to move her arms and legs to get him to stop asking.  "dance baby, dance."
3. When Addy is crying he will tell me to get her milk.  And if someone else has her he makes sure that I know she is crying and that I should take the baby.  "Mommy Milk, baby.  Baby crying, Mommy baby"
4. He pushes her in her stroller and makes sure that if he goes outside that baby gets to come.  "baby come."
5. Often while eating a snack he will offer her some of what he is eating.  Today it was goldfish and yesterday it was his hotdog.
6. He lays by her when she is crying and often brings her blanket to her.
7. He has rescued her from getting her nose sucked out from her little cold..."stop mommy...baby crying."  He took the nose sucker and I have yet to find it again.  So protective!
8. While walking around the block he makes sure to point at his sister to the neighbors, as to make sure that they acknowledge that she is there.
9. The last one I can think of and my favorite is..."hi, what you doing?"  He asks her this many many times a day and is so cute!

Enjoy the couple latest pictures of Isaac and Addy.  I hope this love relationship continues and that they grow up being great friends.!

Last day of school

The Last day of school has always been bitter sweet for me.  Being a teacher I used to count the days from about spring break to summer vacation.  This year on Isaac's last day of school I was sad.  He was just starting to come out of his shell and become comfortable with his teachers and playing on his own, now it is over for about four months.  Although, I am going to try to stay in contact with some of his classmates I know he is going to miss the routine of going to school and the special projects he gets to make there.  His favorite time is circle/song time and I know he is going to miss that too.  I haven't been there in a few weeks because of Addy but I was shocked how well behaved, how he listened and knew exactly the routine.  I might be biased but I thought he was the most well behaved child and NEVER stole toys from other kids.  Stealing of toys is a huge problem, and Isaac would always just give his up and go find another toy, He is just so sweet!  Here are some photos from his last day with his teachers and playing.  We are looking forward to the two year old class next fall with Teacher Barb!
