Addy and her Vacuum

Addy has always LOVED the vacuum, from little on.  She would sit and watch me when she couldn't move.  Once she started crawling she would chase after it and then when she was walking she would follow me around and try to get the cord.  I vacuum the house at least once a day if not more, I can't stand all the crummies as Isaac would say so she has a lot of time to observe how to vacuum correctly.  She too vacuums the house a lot and more than I do now.

A trip on the Mighty Mississippi

On Memorial day we took the kids for a ride on a paddleford boat on the Mississippi River.  They did great, and Isaac of course enjoyed seeing all of scenery and other boats on the water.  It was a Nice relaxing afternoon on the water and we even ran into some old friends.  We look forward to another trip real soon.

We got the kids a little pool for the deck.  They both LOVE it!  I thought for sure since it was so small they would lose interest fast but not the case.  I think Addy sat for at least a half hour dumping rocks and whatever else outside the pool.  Yea!!!  Success and a great way to cool off!

The boys went Fishing!

Seth took Isaac fishing this weekend.  Isaac has been asking him to go ever since spring came around and we decided this would be the perfect weekend to try it out.  They left around 8 or so in the morning and didn't back until after 2.  Apparently, they had a GREAT time.  Isaac caught 4 fish, all which he had to throw back but I guess he didn't mind that.  He told me they had to go back to their mommy's and daddy's.  SO cute!  Isaac was so excited to have special time with his Daddy and Seth says he would have stayed longer but it was just getting so HOT.  Isaac also LOVED the fact that worms were involved, apparently at one point he lined up a bunch on the ground to watch the boats in the water.  He is already asking to go again, so I am sure another trip is not far behind!

It is nothing like a surprise to brighten the day after surgery.  This afternoon the kids and I heard a loud rock at the door and from the other room I thought it was the neighbor.  When I got to the door it was a delivery man with a bag, and I knew right away it was a gift for Seth.  How nice, I knew right away this would brighten his day and lighten the mood.  Then when I looked at the card and saw it was from his work I knew he would be even happier.  Seth takes GREAT pride in his work, and the company and it is nice to know people really do care and obviously appreciate him.  I am not sure who liked it more, Seth for the thought from his co-workers or Isaac because it was a HUGE display of enormous cookies.  Thanks St Jude Medical for making everyone smile and the Yummy treats!!

History Museum

This was not a planned event but since our first plans were rained out we were looking for something else to do and on a whim we decided to head to the history museum.  I would not recommend this for kids (just not enough hands on for them to do).  Pretty cool place however, Addy actually liked it more than Isaac which was surprising.  This whole trip only lasted about an hour.  SO funny, we left laughing about it and blame our MN weather for canceling about boat trip in the first place.

Last Swim Lesson

Third times the charm!  (I hope)  Isaac had his last swim lesson this weekend and although it was his second time through the class the teacher still recommended him taking it one more time.  Reason:  He just can't get his eyes in the water, but mastered everything else.  No big deal, we are on board for the third time but really hoping third is it.  He enjoys his time in the water and hopefully this summer we will have more opportunities to help him get his face in the water.

End of the year picnic

This past week was also Isaac's end of the year picnic/party.  This year it was at a park and was tons of fun!
Here are a couple of pics of Addy and Isaac in their jump houses and fire truck.  Isaac was thrilled to go inside a real fire truck and see the ladder go up and down!!  Exciting stuff here folks!
