Got him!

Addy tries very hard to keep up with Isaac and does what she can to get things that he has.  I believe the story behind this was Isaac had a ball that he didn't want Addy to get.  Pretty sure he is holding the ball tight while she proceeded to climb on him.  As you can see from the last two pictures...Isaac still has the ball but all ended well.

I am going to get him!!

pulling his shirt will get me that ball

Isaac happy to be free and still has the ball

Nice try baby girl!

Carving Pumpkins

As usual the carving of pumpkins turned out to be the same as past years...Seth ends up doing most and by most I mean all of the work.  Isaac was very excited to carve pumpkins this year and has even learned the correct name (jack o' latern) for a carved pumpkin but when it came time to do it he just wanted to watch Daddy.  He said,"If I touch the pumpkin guts then I will have to wash my hands. I don't want to wash my hands."  So there you go!  Addy was not feeling so hot...so she really didn't care too much for the pumpkins and was more excited that I was taking pictures...you will see what I mean when you scroll down.  Happy Halloween!

Halloween baking

The kids especially Isaac LOVE to bake, decorate and eat anything in the category of bakery items.  This year we decided to have two baking projects so we would have special Halloween treats to celebrate the holiday.  The first being a chocolate cake with chocolate almond frosting and tons of decorations.  Enjoy the pics!
Isaac wanted to put the batter in the cake pan himself, to ensure the construction road was made correctly

Isaac started to frost it

still spreading the frosting on

Addy was awake and ready to help with the sprinkles

she placed them just so

Then of course ate some

The second project was roll out sugar cookies in the shape of ghosts and pumpkins.  The kids once again had a great time...ate lots of sprinkles and have enjoyed sharing their treats with family and friends.  Happy Halloween Everybody!

Addy and her new pretty

Addy loves to dress up in dresses and if you call something pretty she loves it even more.  This of course is in exception to her hair.  She still does not like anything in her hair.  Addy's Auntie Lou got her an apron and she loved it.  In fact she got us matching aprons.  Both of us were pretty excited.
Am I cute, Mommy?

she had to take it off but still dance with it

Isaac the baker

Isaac is my helper in the kitchen.  He LOVES to help me bake and more so he LOVES to eat what we make.  Well...This day we were making bread...and anyone who knows Isaac knows he does not like bread.  I called it biscuits and he ate the entire whole wheat bun!  What a job this was...making bread from scratch really tested Isaac's patience because he did not understand the idea of waiting while the dough had to rise.
punching the dough down after it was done rising once

explaining to me how to do it properly

done...and as you can see they did not rise very well.  Oh well Isaac still ate them!!!!

corn maze

On the way home from the pumpkin train we noticed a sign for a corn maze and decided we would check it out.  Once again the kids had a blast...There were animals, bean bag games, and the best part a HUGE stack of straw that the kids could jump off of and into more straw!!  Pretty sure now the tradition of the pumpkin train just got made into the pumpkin train and corn maze in Schaffer.
Addy saw the animals right away and headed right to the bunnies

Choo Choo...All aboard the pumpkin train

Isaac has been waiting since he departed the pumpkin train a year ago to ride again.  This past weekend was the time and both kids had a blast.  This was Addy's first experience on the pumpkin train but one wouldn't know with how well she did.  They had a blast with all the activities and picked out some pretty huge pumpkins, that now we need to turn into jack-o-laterns.  Isaac is so excited for Halloween this year, and when asked what he is going to be his answer is,"Arrrgh....Pirate (complete with hand motions).
