Like father Like Son

Besides going to sleep for Seth better than me Addy will also practice her walking for Seth.  Seth is actually the one who taught her to walk to begin with.  The other night it was time for baths and so Seth and Addy were holding hands WALKING down to the bathroom.  Isaac saw this and said,"I be like daddy, I help baby too."
I don't think I have to say anymore....Here is the pic!

so cute, I can't stand it.

Choo Choo Bob's

Addy made her first appearance at Choo Choo Bob's this week.  She did much better than I thought.  She sat through the story time with engineer Paul and then it was off to the train tables.  It amazes me that although we have a train table at home that gets played with on a daily basis, going to choo choo Bob's is still a thrill and hard to leave.  Isaac has learned soooooooooo many train songs that he sings everyday from Engineer Paul and he thinks of him as a movie star.  Isaac just LOVES going to story time ( he gets there about twice a month) and he loves it even more when most of the kids go home so he can play at the tables by himself.  He is still not great at huge crowds of kids.
Here are a few pictures from our story and playtime at Choo Choo Bob's!!
This is the famous Engineer Paul (or at least famous at our house)

Really Mom?  Another train place!

All done playing...she sat right down and wanted her snack!

Addy is becoming a Daddy's girl

Addy knows exactly who to go to when she is tired, and it is not her Mama.  Although, I have gained the power now to put her to sleep I am not her favorite person to do this with.  She WANTS her Daddy to sleep with or at least be close.  AND often the fall sleep together, whether it be downstairs, or on the couch.  If Addy is sleeping chances are so is her daddy.
Both out cold.

Birthday Dinner

It was so nice to go out to eat for my birthday!  With our crazy kids it seems like we NEVER get  to go out anymore.  We went to Ruby Tuesdays with my parents and Isaac and Addy.  They did great there and the food was soooooo good!  I had the same thing I had the night I was in labor with Isaac.  This time, no babies!!  Isaac and Addy were as always entertaining.  After eating her own supper and some of Isaac's Addy made her way around the table while Isaac entertained us with his singing and story telling.  It was a great evening.  Thanks Mom and Dad!!

All aboard...a trip to the roundhouse

I was hoping for a quiet morning at the Jackson street roundhouse.  We picked up a library pass the week before and Isaac loves it there, so I thought he would play and Addy would play and it would be somewhere different so there wouldn't be any fighting.  Well...We got a little bit more than we bargained for.  We pulled into the lot and right away I knew something was going on.  Tons of cars and kids everywhere.  Granted I knew it was spring break, but lets me honest not many people go to the train museum.  We get inside and there are treats and a storytime for the kids and of course LOTS of kids.  Isaac informs me right away that there are too many kids at HIS roundhouse.  We have a little treat, listen to the story and of course play trains for a couple hours.  It still ended up being a great morning, just a different one from what I had planned.

Isaac was Thomas and the other little boy was Percy.  They were racing.

Brother, Can we go yet?

Isaac and this boy played a lot together

He was making Percy and Thomas talk to each other about where James was.  Another boy ran off with James

The zoo with Nana

We took Addy and Isaac to the zoo this past week and to say Isaac had fun was an understatement.  You couldn't wipe the smile off of his little face.  The best part if you ask him was the monkeys that were running on his head.  Really, they were running all around the their cage and pounced right off the glass in front of him.  It was crowded with lots of kids for spring break and of course not all of the animals were there but it was a still a great time.  Addy of course thought the break for snack time and to watch a little whale movie was the best.  Isaac is still talking about it days later, we will be going back in a few weeks.
Waiting outside in line to get in.

Playing ball with Addy

I can not tell you how much I am looking forward to this next week with 60 degree weather.  Isaac needs to be able to run around outside to burn off some of his energy.  The other day he wanted to play ball with Addy, yes in the house.  We have practiced rolling the ball in the house and not throwing but sometimes Isaac's energy just over takes him and he gets a bit wild.  He could not understand why baby wasn't playing right.  I will get right to the pictures to display how this event went.
Addy's turn with the ball

Very serious throughout the whole game and Isaac got mad at her for not throwing it back to him.

The ball goes flying....

He threw it up

And...she was done.  off to read stories

Isaac of course kept playing without her and it looks like he had more fun

running back with the ball

still not interested in playing ball....still reading books

He slide with the ball

Nope....still doesn't want to play ball off to play with her dolls
