Treasure Hunt

Our elf ninja left us a treasure map this morning.  The excitement of my two kids was amazing.  This idea could have gone two ways: amazing and tons of fun or they could have thought it was stupid and didn't buy into it.  Thank goodness it was the first.  What an awesome activity, I highly recommend it for all those doing elf on the shelf.  Remember we do elf on the shelf slightly different than most but our kids are having a blast!!!

This might even be pinning worthy.  I haven't seen this idea on pinterest for elf on the shelf.

Get ready for picture overload:  I looked through them all and I just couldn't leave any out.
where they found Ninja this morning

can you see the excitement

The map

packing up to leave...they wanted to bring all of their special friends

Isaac needed two bags

All set ready to go with map in hand.  we were ready within 15 min of finding this.  They were so excited!

In the car on the way

Addy reading the map

we found the first spot on the map, in front of the giant tree in the ids building in mpls

we had to slow him down he was so excited to get to the X: treasure spot

ninja brought us to see his home: the north pole.

Isaac loved the fact that he also made ginger bread men and so did we

Isaac's favorite holiday candy is candy canes

writing his letter to santa

we sat there for over a half hour writing words/toys down.  He wrote it all!!!

The true treasure at the end

Look at that face

consulting the map in the skyway one more time to make sure we were headed in the right direction

Then we found this hidden bakery

wow!!!  This was the REAL treasure for mom!!!  AMAZING

Ninja is sound asleep tonight on a bed of marshmellows.  The treasure hunt wore us all out.

Isaac LOVED seeing Ninja's home, he thinks we really went to the north pole!!!!  I LOVE this age with kids and everything they believe.  It was a blast this morning!!!
