Meet Ninja

*****Beware what you are about to read might not be suitable to show/read to your children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ninja is our elf sent from Santa to be our friend during the Christmas season.  He helps us to be on our best behavior, he reminds us to be generous and giving, and he also gets into a bit of trouble while working his magic at night after his flight to the north pole.  Every morning when the children wake up they are so excited to see what Ninja did that night, and see what kind of tricks he has up his sleeve.  As you might have already guessed this is the elf on the shelf tradition, but with a twist.

It was breaking Addy's heart to not touch him...at her age she didn't really gasp this idea of his magic no longer working.  Isaac was starting to question how this was even possible since he told me ninja wasn't real.  What was supposed to be fun...was quickly starting to cause a lot of stress.  What was the first thing I was taught in teacher school.  Adapt your lesson to your students.  That is exactly what I did.

We have our own rules for Ninja in our house.  It works out perfectly...AND we are having TONS of fun!  That is what is important.

Here are some of the places the kids have found ninja so far this year.  Looking forward to the next couple of weeks.

I was also frugal and got the cheap one at costco

He arrived from santa under the kids' tree

On his first night he tried to get a rice krispy turkey

on top of the tree upstairs...before it was decorated.

playing trains on the train table and he brought a special train back from the north pole

Addy and Ninja looking at the ginger bread train

Isaac and Addy working on the train

He was drinking Isaac's chocolate milk this night

The finished train

Addy's potty

He made a mess in my kitchen trying to make the kids breakfast like they have at the north pole

pancake mix with sprinkles

finishing the breakfast that Ninja started

stirring with his class pet mousie

finished product: north pole pancakes

wearing Addy's boots

climbing a rope to get in Isaac's stocking

He was hiding in my crock pot!!!

planting the magic seeds in sugar and adding snow

waiting for the magic....waiting was hard!!!

Surprise!!!!  Look what grew!  This elf really is magic.  The kids LOVED this one!!
