Spring Break/Themes

Some people are lucky and get to go on vacation or at least out of town for a couple of days.  Then there are the unlucky ones who are sick for 8 days straight.  Yep, you guessed it we were the unlucky ones.  :(  Once again our house got hit hard with coughs, colds, and Addy's 1st asthma attack.  We can summarize the asthma attack as the scariest thing I have ever witnessed, and yet in a weird way I am happy to have the first one under our belt.  Those who know about asthma or at least how asthma affects Addy you know it messes with her mood, sleep and energy levels.  It was a long week.

Let's not dwell on all of this negative.  We tried to do our best and do fun activities at home.  Mostly we called these themes and sometimes themes based on books.  It all started with Addy wanting to paint a rainbow like Max and Ruby from one of her favorite books.  SO throughout the course of the week we had: rainbow, cookie,Old Lady who swallowed snow, old mcdonald, and cars.  We made crafts, snacks, art projects, retold the stories with puppet shows and much much more!!!

Get ready for picture overload.  I don't have vacation pictures to show you, but I do have pictures of our learning/sick (making do) spring break!!
