Multiple of 2: Addy's Surgery

This past week Addy had her adenoids out and another set of tubes put in. What a LONG day. We were at the hospital just under 12 hours, although that seems like forever we were so thankful that we did not have to spend the night. Addy did absolutely fantastic throughout her surgery and prep. A lot fewer tears than her Mommy. The nurse said she did not even cry when she woke up, (we were not allowed to be with her until she was awake...don't get me started on this one). She proved once again what a brave, strong and tough little girl that she is. We spoke to the Dr. right after surgery and she said that Addy's adenoids were HUGE and there was so much fluid in her ears that even the nurses wanted to take a look. Our poor baby girl :(

The day of surgery we spent most of the day on the fourth floor of Children's hospital trying to keep Addy busy...and more importantly trying to keep her from pulling out her IV. Around 4:30 pm we finally got the all clear that Addy was doing well enough to go home. YAY!!! The recovery has been a little rough. Lots of sleepless nights, meds every six hours, ear drops three times a day, anti-biotic twice a day...my kitchen counter looks like a pharmacy.

She is doing well....Hopefully this week she will be LOTS better. Isaac just asked me tonight, "Is baby better yet, How much longer." It is even starting to wear on Isaac having to be extra nice to his little sister, but he is doing a GREAT job!! We thank everyone for their prayers, gifts for the kids, visits, meals and support!!
