History Museum

This was not a planned event but since our first plans were rained out we were looking for something else to do and on a whim we decided to head to the history museum.  I would not recommend this for kids (just not enough hands on for them to do).  Pretty cool place however, Addy actually liked it more than Isaac which was surprising.  This whole trip only lasted about an hour.  SO funny, we left laughing about it and blame our MN weather for canceling about boat trip in the first place.

Last Swim Lesson

Third times the charm!  (I hope)  Isaac had his last swim lesson this weekend and although it was his second time through the class the teacher still recommended him taking it one more time.  Reason:  He just can't get his eyes in the water, but mastered everything else.  No big deal, we are on board for the third time but really hoping third is it.  He enjoys his time in the water and hopefully this summer we will have more opportunities to help him get his face in the water.

This past week was also Isaac's end of the year picnic/party.  This year it was at a park and was tons of fun!
Here are a couple of pics of Addy and Isaac in their jump houses and fire truck.  Isaac was thrilled to go inside a real fire truck and see the ladder go up and down!!  Exciting stuff here folks!

Good-bye Teacher Barb

For the past two years Isaac and I have been going to ECFE classes through the Roseville School District.  Last year Isaac had a few separation issues but this year he AMAZED his teacher of two years with his growth and maturity.  They seemed to have a special bond and there wasn't a day that went by that teacher Barb didn't tell me what an amazing boy Isaac was and how proud of him she was.  Being a teacher, I know sometimes we say a lot of stuff to please parents, but I know she wasn't doing this.  She always had concrete examples to share with me of how he impressed her and she said more than once how special Isaac was.  The bond went both ways, Isaac adores her.  Half way through this year we started Isaac in a Tuesday drop off class with Teacher Barb as well.  The beginning was a little rocky, but after about three times he just said good-bye mom and off he went.  All I would hear on Wednesdays at our regular school was how social, and outgoing Isaac was.  What?! My Isaac, and Teacher Barb always said, "I know, he continues to grow, mature and amaze every time I see him."  It is so heart warming to know that Isaac started off his school career with an amazing teacher who not only loves her job but she loves her students.  Teacher Barb could be quoted saying,"yes, my parents spent a lot of money on schooling for me to learn how to read stories and mix red paint."  We tried to tell her more than once the difference she was making in these kids, I hope she listened.  I also hope next year Isaac will have the same relationship with a new teacher.  He knows it is Addy's turn to learn from teacher Barb, and he told her,"please teach her to share."

Regular day at the Park turned EXTRAORDINARY!

I usually don't bring the camera with us to the park but today I decided too and what a good day it was to bring it with.  It had rained the night before and there were puddles for the kids to play in....it was the highlight and what they both wanted to do most of the time.  They are super super busy at the park so I will let the pictures speak for themselves.   If anyone every wants to go with us, I would LOVE the help and company.  We have been going to central park in roseville because there is a large park, (equipment is at good heights for the kids) a waterfall and lake bennet is right there to walk around.  we usually go all the way around twice!
It is amazing what a little water can do to the fun factor at the park!!
