Issalyn

Seth made this picture the other day and emailed it to me.  I thought I would share his creation that he calls Issalyn with everyone.  They were about the same age in these pictures, maybe a few weeks difference.  In case you really couldn't tell Addy is on the left, Isaac on the right.

Pretty in Purple

This week I finally got to introduce Addy to my good friend Lavera at the hotel where I used to bartend.  I was so excited prior to this meeting that I dressed Addy up and we had another mini photo shoot.  We had so much fun at the hotel visiting and I realized just how much I miss that job and mostly Lavera.  Isaac was thrilled to spend the evening watching the ducks in the pond and wanted to go back the next night.  When I was putting him to bed that night I said, "thank you Isaac for being such a good boy today."  His response," thank you mommy for ducks."  So sweet, I love my kids!!!

Lately it is becoming hard for Isaac to have patience and wait his turn for his bath.  The other night he took his own clothes off and climbed right in with Addy.  Addy didn't mind at all, and in fact I think she enjoyed her bath even more.  Isaac was a great helper by pouring water over her head for "hair wash" time and offered her some of his toys.  Check out Isaac's awesome farmers tan on his arms, so apparent in the bath tub.

WANTED: A Rocker

Hi Friends, its me Addy.  As my Mommy has previously told you I spend my days watching my big brother and I love it.  He is so funny, and gets into all kinds of trouble.  I can't wait until I am big like him and can do all the things he does.  I am starting to notice that not only does Isaac get to do more than me but he gets to eat real food, and there is this other thing called rocking.  He really gets to do everything and all I get to do is watch!  I often chase Isaac to his room for his naps, and I notice he gets to go in a chair and is held and told a story while he drinks some milk.  I am wondering why I don't get this, I am the baby after all.  Or at least that is what they call me.  I am curious about this rocking thing, so I am placing an ad for a rocker.  I have my own chair, and I have tried rocking myself but I don't think it is quite right.  All interested parties must get approved by my Mommy, and I will tell you via crying when to start and stop.

This weekend we took Isaac and Addy on their first train ride.  Of course Isaac LOVED it and kept saying all aboard!  He thought we were on the dinosaur train :)  Papa, Nana and Em came along for the adventure and we all had such a nice time.  Isaac of course wanted to ride again as soon as we got off.  I am not sure what was more exciting for him the train ride or the train ride with his NANA.  As you will see from the pics he wouldn't go anywhere without her.  Truly his best friend and it made his day to have her there.  On the way home we passed over the river and he saw all the boats and said, " I ride boat."  Looks like we need to find a boat ride next.  He does love his transportation vehicles!

Bumbo seat

Not only does my baby Addy do tummy time like a pro but we busted out the bumbo seat this weekend and she loves sitting up in it.  I can not believe she is sitting up already in this chair.  I never had one with Isaac, so of course he felt the need to get in on the action of sitting in the chair now.  Please baby Addy, slow down your growing!  Don't you know you are mommy's last baby!!

Special Park night with Daddy

Recently we found out that some of the parks close by do special programs on Wednesday evenings.  We decided this would be a great outing for the family.  Well....Addy decided she would prefer to stay at home (her crabby self was not going anywhere) and so Isaac and Seth had a special Daddy outing.  Isaac wanted Baby to come and I told him that she didn't take a good nap like he did so she didn't get to go.  He agreed that, she should stay home since she was naughty!  They had a great time playing at the pool, park, slide, puppet show and of course getting popcorn and stickers from the police.  All in all the evening went well and Isaac keeps asking to go back.
